Horses rescued from El Paso County property now ready for adoption

So far this year the Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center has received an unprecedented number of starved horses. Communities are recognizing vulnerable and at-risk horses and no longer accepting this type of neglect, and Harmony is helping more horses than ever. The Colorado Springs Gazette profiled five of these horses, who arrived at Harmony back in April after being seized by law enforcement in El Paso County. The horses were so emaciated that Harmony staff feared they would not make it, but they are now healthy, happy and ready for adoption. Read the full story here.
