Harmony Equine Center’s Biggest Month Ever
January 12, 2018
In a perfect storm of equine adoption success, 55 equines were adopted from the Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center™ in December—Harmony’s biggest month for adoptions since opening its doors five years ago.
From neglected miniature horses transferred from Houston to rescue horses brought to us and trained so they become better candidates for adoption, finding this many equines new homes is no small task.
“We have a great team,” said Garret Leonard, director of the Harmony Equine Center. “I’m very proud of all they’ve accomplished.”
A normal month at Harmony is certainly busy, with training, health care, grooming and feeding of dozens of horses being the norm at our equine center near Franktown, Colo.
But December was special, thanks in large part to our amazing, compassionate community members who adopted all those equines.
As we enter 2018, we’re excited for all the opportunities to work together with you to reach our goal of finding new homes for more than 200 equines.
